Hello John,
Travis here with Stewardship Utah. I’ve worked in the elections world for close to 10 years and have worked with an array of diverse candidates. From federal to local, running for office is one of the most impactful things we can do for our communities.
In 2020, I managed Andrew Stoddard’s campaign for State House, and since his election, he has become one of Stewardship Utah’s strongest allies in the fight for clean air and environmental protections. As a legislator, Rep. Stoddard has consistently championed policies that prioritize public health and sustainability. In 2023, our collaboration led to the passage of HB220, one of the most impactful air quality bills Utah has seen in decades—setting new standards for emissions reduction and demonstrating the power of strategic advocacy in shaping meaningful policy change.
We are partnering with the League of Conservation Voters to host a three-part webinar series focusing on creating change and empowering your community. From advocacy and lobbying to becoming a civil servant, there are many ways we can create a Utah that represents us. Join us for one, or all, of these free webinars to learn more about how we can empower our communities:

One of our endorsed candidates, former House Representative, Rosemary Lesser, speaking during a rally against Amendment D. Constitutional Amendment D was a power grab by the Utah legislature to change our state constitution and remove our right to reform our government. Fortunately, the amendment was ruled unconstitutional by the Utah Supreme Court and was removed from ballots. Summer, 2024.
This webinar series will culminate in a two-day, in-person, free training event on running for office. This intensive training will take place in Moab, UT on April 5 & 6, 2025, with experienced trainers from across the Conservation Voters Movement and Stewardship Utah, which will give participants a chance to practice newly-learned skills during the training.
