Training & Outreach
We've hit the ground running in 2025, delivering a mix of in-person and online training sessions across various sectors, providing the following with actionable knowledge and insights into human trafficking, modern slavery, and prevention:

🏦 180 employees of a leading UK commercial bank
📊 195 professionals from a global financial intelligence company
👥 18 leaders in the travel industry, in partnership with Justice and Care
🌐 30 representatives from an online classified ads platform

New Faces
We're excited to welcome Sabrina and Melissa to our Intelligence Team! Sabrina brings expertise in human trafficking and migrant smuggling across the Middle East and Asia, with a focus on gender-sensitive strategies. Melissa is an intelligence analyst with a sharp eye for open-source and social media investigations. They are already showing themselves to be a powerhouse addition to the STT team and we can't wait to see how they drive our intelligence-led prevention efforts this year!
Awards
We're thrilled to be nominated for the Credit Agricole Helping Hand Award—and even more excited to share that we’ve been awarded £2,000 to support our fight against modern slavery! Huge thanks to Credit Agricole for backing our mission.
Team Development
The STOP THE TRAFFIK team had an inspiring offsite day, generously hosted by our pro bono partners at Rathbones. The day featured powerful sessions from both internal and external speakers, sparking fresh ideas and renewed energy. Coming together as a team allowed us to sharpen our skills, strengthen our strategy, and align even more closely with our mission: create a world where people are not bought and sold.
Collaboration Success: Modern Slavery Intelligence Network (MSIN)
January brought exciting progress in our collaboration with MSIN, a UK food and agriculture sector initiative dedicated to detecting, preventing, and disrupting modern slavery and labour exploitation. By sharing intelligence, our work with MSIN is strengthening trust among its members and the wider agriculture industry, driving real impact in protecting workers and improving outcomes for those affected.
A prospective member of MSIN said, if someone had shared this information, we could have caught it three months earlier. That's the importance of what MSIN and STOP THE TRAFFIK do.

A P10 collaborator said, Thank you very much for this space, where we share very important information, and which gives us tools to continue working against human trafficking.

Campaign Success: Power of 10 in Colombia
We've successfully completed our Power of 10 project in Colombia. Power of 10's bring together 10 organisations to share 10 stories of modern slavery each, and when combined, they paint a powerful picture and expose new insights on trafficking operations in the region. The session was the first of its kind in the region, and led the partners to commit to long-term data engagement with STOP THE TRAFFIK to continue closing the data gap on this issue.

London Landmarks Half Marathon
A special shoutout to the 11 incredible individuals running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for STOP THE TRAFFIK. They've shared their training photos, and we're excited to follow their journey. Every step they take brings us closer to ending modern slavery.

Community Support: Paul Field Gig
A heartfelt thank you to the Bath Road Methodist Church in Swindon for hosting the event Paul Field: Songs for a Fragile World, with all profits supporting our prevention efforts. We are deeply grateful to the individuals and communities who rally behind our cause. Your creativity and passion help amplify our message and secure vital funds to combat this horrific crime.
