John –

Last night, House Republicans conjured up a new way to bow down to Donald Trump so that he can bankroll billionaires and polluters at the expense of hardworking, everyday Americans.

This extreme Republican budget resolution surrenders $4.5 trillion from the federal bank account in a massive giveaway to the richest Americans. And it’s the hardworking American taxpayer who pays the tab.

What’s more? House Republicans laid out a blueprint to cut billions of dollars in federal assistance that help American families:

* Lower electricity costs
* Put healthy food on the table
* Ensure our children can drink clean water and breathe clean air

Even down to the last minute, there were a few GOP holdouts. But Donald Trump made a few personal calls, and that’s all it took for those Republicans to flip. For shame, John!

We’re just about one month into this mess of an administration, and Republicans are already showing us just how far they’re willing to go to put billionaires first and working families last. This budget resolution sets us on the path to increased costs, abandoned manufacturing investments and jobs, and a world that is less safe for future generations.

While the House GOP is capitulating to the destructive MAGA agenda, our SEEC members in Congress are jumping into action. And that doesn’t just mean voting against last night’s budget resolution. From SEEC Co-Chair Rep. Paul Tonko leading protests at EPA and NOAA, to SEEC Member Rep. Gerry Connolly launching a probe into Elon Musk’s role in tampering with our federal agencies, our climate champions in Congress are fighting back on all fronts.

SEEC members are pushing back against Trump’s anti-climate and anti-American agenda, but they need your support to power their efforts. Can you rush a donation today to show them you have their back? [[link removed]]
