🏘️ What Is Stories of Home? This initiative (formerly known as the Housing Justice Storytelling Initiative) is an intensive, multi-session workshop to develop and share video stories of courageous hope and collective action for housing justice that center Bay Area residents who have experienced housing insecurity. Stories of Home is led by All Home, with support from NPH. Check out the videos from Cohort 1! ✅ Here’s a quick overview of what’s involved: - The comprehensive cohort experience will empower and engage storytellers while strengthening video production and narrative skills within the housing justice movement.
- Participants—both organizational staff and storytellers with lived experience—will receive training and coaching to develop their stories and will work with local videographers who will shoot, edit, and produce the videos.
- Participation is free for participating organizations and the initiative will compensate storytellers for their time.
- Participants will walk away with a powerful short video they can use to advance their work and new skills in narrative strategy, ethical storytelling, and video production.
