I’m the product of the American Dream. My father never made it past the ninth grade. He left school during the Great Depression to join the Army and went on to fight in WWII.
My mother was a dedicated voter who never missed an election. She instilled in me the importance of civic duty.
Only in America could I grow up to have a career as a physician and U.S. Senator. My parents showed me that the American Dream is possible. More importantly, they reminded me that our country and our values are ALWAYS worth fighting for.
We CAN unleash American energy and fuel a new way forward.
There is so much we can accomplish if we work together. We’ve done it before, and we’ll do it again. But I need you on my side.
I’m clear-eyed about the challenges ahead of us, but I need you on my team to take those challenges on and continue to accomplish great things to save the American Dream for future generations and usher in America’s new Golden Age.
