We are a constitutional republic that is governed by laws, not by royal decrees.
This week Donald Trump likened himself to a king after trying to shut down New York’s congestion pricing system, and the White House was all too happy to amplify his message:

This after Trump quoted, and the White House amplified, a quote from an insecure dictator (sound familiar?) who said, “He who saves his Country does not violate any Law.”
But let’s make one thing clear: Americans don’t take orders from a king, whether Donald Trump wants them to or not.
This is one more step along the road to authoritarianism that MAGA Republicans have been walking for years, and it’s up to all of us to call it out for what it is and fight to stop it.
I’m working in Congress to hold the Trump administration accountable on everything from their unconstitutional funding freeze to their corrupt billionaire-led effort to decimate the federal government. Because we are a constitutional republic that is governed by laws, not by royal decrees.
But I’m counting on your grassroots support to keep it up.
If you’re with me, will you pitch in $5 to my campaign today and help me keep fighting?
