Friend,
Last week, I helped introduce the bipartisan Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act with Rep. Adrian Smith, which would allow E15 to be sold nationwide year-round. Securing consumer choice for nationwide, year-round E15 is an essential step to unleash domestic energy production and lower costs at the pump—all while supporting Iowa's ethanol industry and producers.
As your representative, I will continue advocating for biofuels as a commonsense, cost-effective, and clean-energy solution that not only supports Iowa's economy but advances America's energy sector.
I’m especially excited that the Senate recently confirmed USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins and my former House colleague EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin—and look forward to working with them to double down on policies that help support American energy dominance.
The EPA took steps to increase the use of biofuels during President Trump’s first term, and I believe he will continue working to expand the use of biofuels nationwide. Just last week, the Trump Administration took swift action to hold Brazil accountable for their unfair ethanol tariffs—something I have long advocated for.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say this again: it’s an all of the above, and all of the below strategy when it comes to leading in energy dominance. I look forward to continued work with the USDA, the EPA, and President Trump in advancing the biofuels industry in Iowa and nationwide so we can support our farmers and fight for fair trade deals on the global stage.
Best,
