Hi there, it’s Ilhan Omar. It’s clear that the far-right has been emboldened and out of control since Trump took office.

One of my Republican colleagues in the House, Rep. Brandon Gill, sent out a fundraising email last week calling for my deportation and asking his supporters to sign a petition to make it happen.

Take a look for yourself at what he sent:

Reprehensible, racist, and un-American. The email went on to say that I was “facilitating a full-scale invasion of our country," and that I am committing “treason.”

Threatening to deport legal US citizens because you disagree with them is fascism. Full stop. I’m appalled, but I expect nothing less from the GOP under Trump and Elon Musk.

Just look at what they are doing to our federal government.

Elon Musk is illegally slashing crucial agencies and programs while protecting funding for his companies, like SpaceX. They’re scaling back the core functions of our government so they can line the pockets of their billionaire friends. It’s like the wildest dreams of the ultra-rich finally coming true.

I’ve never let the right-wing attacks stop me from speaking truth to power: Trump is acting like a full-blown dictator and enriching himself and his billionaire friends at Americans’ expense.

Our best response to the far-right in this moment is to organize all of our people, all our resources, all of the tools we have at our disposal, to stop Trump’s administration and his allies.
