[link removed] [[link removed]]Hi John — I’m newly elected Congressman Dave Min.
Last November, I was elected in CA-47 to replace outgoing Rep. Katie Porter in one of the closest Congressional races across the entire state and country.
We were rated as a “tossup” by numerous election forecasters. Plenty of talking heads and pundits thought this seat was one of the blue districts that would flip red.
But we won a close victory. Because Democrats like you supported our strategy that centered early grassroots organizing and people power. Now, we have an opportunity in front of us to run the same successful playbook again and retake the U.S. House. Will you split a donation between my swing seat campaign and the California Democratic Party today? [[link removed]]
The 2024 election was extremely disappointing in the Presidential race. But here in California, we defied the national environment and flipped three seats from red to blue — all while defending vulnerable blue districts like mine in CA-47.
But these races weren’t a foregone conclusion. Many of them were incredibly close, including my own race. Aren’t convinced? Take a look below :

If we hadn’t had early support from volunteers, organizers, and grassroots donors, this race might’ve gone a very different way. Republicans could’ve flipped this seat and expanded their House Majority .
Instead, we won critical races and Republicans went into 2025 with one of the smallest majorities in our country’s history. And it’s because folks like you pitch in $ or $ to open regional offices, hire staff, print literature, and mobilize long before Election Day.
Now, we have the chance to run this winning playbook again and take back the U.S. House. Will you power our early grassroots efforts with a donation today? It will be split between my toss-up seat campaign and the California Democratic Party. [[link removed]]

Yours,
- Dave Min
