This week, Elizabeth visited our Grassroots Donor Wall here in HQ and shared how much she appreciates the people who make this movement possible.
But there's another way we're thanking some grassroots donors: with a call from Elizabeth.
On other campaigns, calls from the candidate are reserved for people who can cut a huge check.
But Elizabeth is calling people like Cherith, a fellow Okie who teaches AP English Literature. They spoke about Cherith's worries about gun violence at schools and the moral responsibility we have to keep our kids safe.
Elizabeth always wants to learn more about the people who are in this fight. On a lot of calls — like with Cherith — she'll ask, "What's the issue that brings you in?"
There's a lot of different answers: Student loan debt. Breaking up families at the border. Not being able to afford to see a doctor.
But these conversations are always about solutions, too. About how we can finally make our government reflect our values, and bring big, structural change to Washington.
What would you say if you had the chance to talk with Elizabeth?
