This week, I traveled across the country with my newborn son to vote against the GOP’s outrageous plan to rip away health care for Colorado kids, seniors, pregnant women, and so many more — all so they can give tax breaks to their billionaire donors and friends.
Republican Leadership blocked my ability to vote remotely after giving birth to my son, Sam. It’s outrageous that they would force new parents to choose between caring for our newborn and representing our constituents — but absolutely nothing could stand in my way from being in the Capitol yesterday to vote against their cruel and dangerous bill.
You better believe that I’ll be there — no matter how challenging it might be — when Republicans are trying to strip away critical programs like Medicaid and SNAP.
That’s why I voted against the GOP’s plan to rip away health care, take food off of people’s tables, and make life more expensive for hardworking families — all so they can hand out trillions of dollars to billionaires and wealthy corporations.
I’ve promised the people of Colorado that I would fight every day for regular people — and I’ll always be there to hold Republicans accountable when they’re hurting hardworking people.
No matter what is thrown our way, I will do what’s right for Colorado — but I need this entire team behind me to continue this work, because we know this won’t be the last of their attacks.
I’m in this fight for Colorado and our shared values. If you’re with me, I’m humbly asking for your support. If you could donate $5 or $15 today to support my work in Congress, it would mean so much to me:
