I’m not easily scared off -- not by Henry Cuellar, and not by Donald Trump.

I recently talked to the HuffPost about running as a woman of color while our president attacks freshman Congresswomen for their diverse races. Trump even told them to “go back” where they came from.

It’s disgusting, but not at all surprising.

I jumped into this race -- right into Trump’s line of fire -- because his hate pushes me. It makes me want to fight even harder to be your representative, so I can stop Trump from hurting this community any further.

Taking on Trump is going to be an uphill battle. He and his Republican buddies will pull out all the stops to make sure more progressive candidates like me don’t make it past the primaries. Will you pitch in a couple dollars so we can win our primary and keep up the fight against Trump and his hate?

Every time I hear Trump attack the Squad, I feel personally affected. Trump is attacking Congresswomen that look like me. They look like our daughters, our sisters, our mothers and our friends. I’m running for Congress because I refuse to see our loved ones live in fear any longer.
