SPRINGFIELD, IL – The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) is excited to announce the return of the Illinois Product Expo, taking place on March 1st and 2nd in the Orr Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. For 26 years, the Illinois Product Expo has brought together local food companies and consumers, celebrating the best of Illinois’ culinary and agricultural favorites.

Attendees can explore Illinois through their taste buds by sampling a variety of products, enjoying a relaxing experience in the Illinois Wine Garden, and stocking up on their all-time favorites.

“This family-friendly event gets bigger and better every year,” said IDOA Director Jerry Costello II. “We are excited to have a wide variety of vendors – from longstanding crowd favorites to first-time exhibitors. It’s a convenient way to shop local and discover new Illinois products.”

Featured vendors include The Homestead Bakery, ReMARKable Caramels, Rolling Lawns Farm, Ropp Jersey Cheese, Glaciers End, Phoenix Bean, Turasky Meats, Engrained Brewing Company, and Creekstone Kettle Works, among many others. The Illinois Wine Experience will showcase 14 wineries from across the state, offering guests the chance to sample and purchase their favorite local wines.

“This year’s Illinois Product Expo welcomes new vendors such as Siddity Pig Pork Snacks, The Infused Olive, and Luka Popcorn,” said Jackie Sambursky, IDOA Bureau Chief of Marketing. “We’re also excited to feature Copi cooking demonstrations in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.”

Attendees can also take advantage of the popular $5 for 5 promotion: purchase five products and receive $5 Expo Cash as a token of appreciation for supporting Illinois agriculture.
