🤔 How do you measure a year? For Special Olympics Massachusetts athlete Matt M., the answer might be 25…or 267…or even 1,265.
Matt has medaled at USA and World Games, he’s a local Hall of Famer, and he’s an all-around awesome friend, teammate, and athlete leader. But in 2024, he ran and ran and RAN his way to some personal bests and inspiring feats:
🏁 25 races undertaken, including a 25K trail run!
💪 267 workouts completed!
🤩 1,265 total miles run – that’s almost 3.5 miles of running per day!!
Matt belongs on the running track. And it is Special Olympics supporters like you who make sure he and millions of other athletes with intellectual disabilities (ID) have the training, coaches, and chances to do what they love and achieve great things along the way.
We have just 3 days to recruit 42 monthly donors to hit our goals and stay on track for every athlete out there who’s ready to get in the game. Will you become one today? Start a monthly gift of $20 or more and we’ll send you a FREE tote bag to say thanks – because another passionate monthly supporter is like winning a gold medal for us!
The strength of our monthly donor community corresponds directly with the strength of our entire Special Olympics program. Athletes with ID in your hometown, across the country, and around the world depend on committed monthly donors to:
🏀 Help supply new and top-notch equipment and gear!
🏆 Help keep games and competitions going in as many places as possible!
🥰 Help power the magic of Special Olympics teams and friendships!
We know monthly giving is a BIG ask. So, we’ll be honest: We’re asking because we don’t think ANY athlete, with or without ID, who wants to train hard, make friends, become a leader, and have a second home with Special Olympics should be turned away.
If you agree, become one of the 42 monthly donors we need to recruit this February! You’ll get a free tote bag, you’ll have the ease and convenience of a monthly gift set up, and you’ll become one of our MOST trusted and true supporters in 2025. Please, if you can, start a monthly gift today >>
