As families and survivors of school firearm violence, we don’t just watch from the sidelines—we take action. We’re in the room with lawmakers, first responders, and school safety advocates, pushing for real, life-saving change.

Our top priorities? Prevention and communication.

This past month we partnered with bipartisan Florida Representatives Jared Moskowitz (FL-23) and Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-26) to introduce pragmatic legislation that will make schools safer, improve emergency notifications, and protect students, teachers, and families.

Here’s what we’re fighting for in Congress:

• MSD Act – Strengthens emergency response plans and reinforces school security.
• SASS Act – Cuts red tape so schools can access safety funding faster.
• EAGLES Act – Expands efforts to prevent targeted violence before it happens.

But our work doesn’t stop there. We know school safety isn’t a partisan issue, and we’re committed to working with leaders on both sides of the aisle to get these critical bills passed. As a matter of fact, we are in Washington, DC heading to Capitol Hill for congressional meetings as we write this.
