ASA’s Knox Williams joined Breitbart News ([link removed]) to talk about the launch of our new video series, “The Sound of Safety.”

The new video series covers basic topics surrounding the use of suppressors like the anatomy of the human ear, and the safety benefits of using suppressors.

The first in a series of forthcoming videos answers the question, “What is the difference between shooting with a suppressor and without one?”

------------------------------------------------------------

Kash Patel, the newly confirmed director of the FBI has been tapped to lead the ATF as Acting Director ([link removed]) . The American Suppressor Association is thrilled and eager to collaborate with Director Patel to continue advancing suppressor rights. With singular leadership over the two agencies there is room for increased cooperation to further streamline the processing of NFA transfers. While transfer times have improved significantly — now measured in weeks, days, or even hours — our work won't be finished until suppressors can be purchased through seamless over-the-counter transfers.

We look forward to working with Acting Director Patel and his team moving forward!

** ASA To Testify In Guam Legislature
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]

Late tonight, to account for a 15 hour time difference, ASA President & Executive Director, Knox Williams, will testify remotely in front of the Guam Legislature in support of Bill No. 27-38 ([link removed]) the Hearing Protection Act of 2025. The bill, introduced by Senator William Parkinson, would legalize possession of suppressors by residents of Guam. A similar bill, introduced in 2021 by now Vice Speaker V. Anthony Ada successfully passed the legislature only to be vetoed by the Governor. A recent “red wave” within the Legislature of Guam has improved the bill’s chances for passage this time.
