Since day ONE, I’ve been working to secure Arizona’s borders, protect our communities, and push back against the reckless policies coming from Washington, D.C. That’s why I co-sponsored HB 2099, a crucial piece of legislation that ensures our Governor and Attorney General are enforcing federal immigration laws—no excuses, no loopholes. Now, we’re seeing just how necessary this law is. Arizona’s border town of Douglas declared a state of emergency recently. The crisis has gotten so bad that even Democratic Mayor Jose Grijalva—someone who should be standing with his party—has been forced to acknowledge the damage being done by open-border policies. The border is being overrun! Illegal crossings are skyrocketing. And instead of protecting Arizonans, the Biden Administration steadily made things worse. These failures from the Left have cost Arizona dearly. We’re dealing with drug cartels trafficking fentanyl into our neighborhoods. Our ranchers and border communities are under siege.
