Dear A.,
Oded Lifshitz was

buried today in Kibbutz Nir Oz, the community he helped establish 70 years ago. Thousands of Israelis lined the route of the funeral procession to pay their respects to the 83-year-old peace activist.
“Our abduction and your death have shaken me to the core,” said Oded's wife, Yocheved, who was taken hostage with him on October 7 and released two weeks later. “We fought all through the years for social justice, for peace. To my sorrow, we were hit by a terrible blow by those we helped on the other side."
Israeli President Isaac Herzog also eulogized Oded as "an Israeli, a Zionist, a Jew, a man of humanity, a lover of his people and of all people. A kibbutznik, a pioneer, a fighter, a community builder...and above all, a devoted family man."
President Herzog also mourned the loss of the Bibas family, who will also be buried in Nir OZ tomorrow. "It is unbearable to think that this very earth—this land of the western Negev—will today embrace Oded, and tomorrow beloved Shiri, Kfir, and Ariel Bibas."
The Knesset is lit up orange tonight in their memory.
Israel expects 4 more bodies to be released Thursday
Israel is expecting the remains of the four remaining slain hostages from the first phase of the hostage deal to be returned by Hamas on Thursday.
The four murdered Israelis are Itzik Elgart, Shlomo Mansour, Tsahi Idan, and Ohad Yahalomi.
Israel is also working to move up the release of their bodies sooner. According to reports, if there isn’t another release of hostages by next Saturday, March 8, Israel will consider the ceasefire over.

"We will not endanger the security of our citizens. Any attempt by the Syrian regime forces and the country's terrorist organizations to establish themselves in the security zone in southern Syria will be met with fire."
Contact Congress: Oppose Dangerous Resolutions to Block Arms to Israel
Senator Bernie Sanders recently introduced four joint resolutions of disapproval to block vital arms sales to Israel, undermining the Jewish state’s ability to defend itself.
These dangerous resolutions would cut off critical American support for our ally while Israel is facing threats from Iran and its terrorist proxies.
Contact your senators now and urge them to vote NO on Sanders’ dangerous resolutions if they are brought up for a vote.
