Kash Patel, the new FBI Director, was sworn in yesterday as acting chief of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). His power now crosses two powerful agencies within the Justice Department.
There was no ceremony, it didn’t go through Congress, it just happened. Sound familiar? WTF?! Where’s the accountability?!
Patel has *no experience* fighting violent crime, preventing mass shootings, or stopping domestic violence. Instead, he just talks about being tough on crime, while letting the gun lobby walk all over him.
John, sign on now to hold the Trump administration accountable for this irresponsible action.
We deserve leaders who will stand strong on gun violence and not bend to the will of the gun lobby — that’s not Kash Patel. The ATF is supposed to protect us but Kash’s appointment will simply destroy it from the inside.
He literally said “my mission is your mission” to the Gun Owners of America conference last year. 😬 He wants to tear down these government agencies by getting rid of “unelected bureaucrats” to push for easier access to guns.
What’s that going to do to protect us? Absolutely nothing. That’s why we’re asking you to sign our petition right now to show the Trump administration that we will not let him put our lives at risk.
