Contact Your Representative to Pass Two Resolutions Overturning Biden’s Energy Rules

The Biden administration sought to regulate out of existence the items and industries that the American people use daily in the name of so-called “energy efficiency.” Two of those regulations – to outlaw gas-powered water heaters and hinder the natural gas industry – are being addressed this week in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Representative Gary Palmer (R-AL) introduced H.J. Res. 20 to eliminate the Biden-era rule mandating fuel switching in gas-fired instantaneous water heaters. This would limit the amount of natural gas a household can use and implement a one-size-fits-all approach to all homes. At the time, the Department of Energy severely underestimated the cost this would add to each new model. They claimed it would be $231 when in reality the industry projected double that cost.

At the same time, Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX) has introduced H.J. Res. 35 to overturn the Inflation Reduction Act’s Water Emissions Charge. This regulation is an attack on natural gas by appropriating $1.6 billion in climate change-related grants while taxing methane emissions on oil and gas facilities.

The federal government has had its hand in our pockets for too long to advance its extreme “climate” agenda. Overturning both of these regulations will save the taxpayers a significant amount of money.
