Friend – the poster you see here has popped up all over our nation's capital. It's outside the Treasury Department, where Musk and his band of acolytes have attempted to gain control over the federal government's payment system.

It's outside USAID, a government agency that Musk has unlawfully tried to abolish.

And it's all over Capitol Hill, where a cowardly acquiescence from Republican majorities in Congress has enabled Elon Musk to ransack our federal government freely.

Friend, these posters are not hyperbole. Elon Musk – an unelected billionaire without security clearance to whom Donald Trump has granted unchecked power and access – is stealing from us. Elon Musk is stealing our privacy, he is stealing our jobs, he is stealing our information and data, and most importantly, he is stealing our future.

For while Trump's largest campaign donor has such immense power at his fingertips – power that he can use to enrich himself and quash anything not to his liking – the future of our nation and its people rests on dangerously shaky ground.

The good news is that the people are fighting back. Record numbers of constituents are showing up to Republican congressional representative town halls to voice their outrage. These same offices are receiving record numbers of calls from rightly angry constituents. We must keep up the pressure and show, by and large, that the American people will not allow Musk and Trump to rule through antidemocratic, illegal actions.

I'm doing everything I can to stop Musk's takeover of our democracy, and I urge you to do the same. Please, keep up the fight.

Thank you,

Dick
