Hey, y’all,

Wow, the last two months have probably been the longest of my life.
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind, and not in a good
way—we’ve known all along that giving Donald Trump a second term
would be an absolute disaster for our country, but I don’t think any
of us were prepared for so much to go wrong so quickly.

At times like these, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Frankly, I’ve
even had my moments where I’ve wondered how to keep moving forward.
But I’m reminding myself that the best way to fight despair is to
put in the work, move forward, and lean on my community.

Lifting each other up is one of the most important things we can do
right now—and that’s why I wanted to make sure you knew about
YDNC’s next opportunity to come together, find community &
fellowship, and get organized for the fight ahead.

Our 97th Anniversary Convention will be held the weekend of April 5th
in Fayetteville, North Carolina, hosted by our Young Democrats of
Cumberland County. $20 FOR OUR MEMBERS COVERS EVERY YDNC-SPONSORED
EVENT THAT WEEKEND [1]—including our Friday night Welcome Reception
and our annual Awards Luncheon that Saturday afternoon.

I’ll be writing again very soon to share more specifics, including
information on our venues and our room block, but for now, please go
ahead and set this date aside on your calendars. As our first
in-person, organization-wide event of 2025, this will be YDNC’s
first major opportunity to come together, remember our own strength,
and fight to take our country back and protect the people we love.
