As Governor, my top priority has always been building a stronger and fairer New Jersey. Over the past seven years, we’ve made historic progress — delivering record-high tax relief, creating nearly 20,000 new pre-K seats, and making key investments in job creation and innovation. Now, with my newly announced budget, I’m continuing my work to ensure New Jersey’s future remains bright.

This year’s budget is about delivering real relief to working families while making responsible investments that will keep our state strong for generations to come. We’re working to:

- Expand access to affordable housing
- Lower everyday costs for working families
- Fully fund our public schools so that every child has the opportunity to succeed
- Preserve access to reproductive health care
- Incentivize doctors who provide essential health care services to move to New Jersey from states with extreme abortion restrictions
- Create more opportunities for workers to receive training in vital fields
- Build an economy that works for everyone, from first-time homebuyers to small business owners

I’m also focused on keeping New Jersey on a stable financial footing. My budget includes a $6.3 billion surplus, ensuring the next administration inherits a secure economy while delivering record-high tax relief for working families and seniors.

We have the opportunity to keep New Jersey moving forward, and ensure our state remains a beacon of progressive values, but we're going to need some strong support to get this budget across the finish line.
