MISN (the Mining Injustice Solidarity Network) writes:
Canadian mining kills, destroys and colonizes. Canadian mining projects are at the heart of the most destructive forces on the planet. From the bombs falling on Gaza to the climate fires burning up the planet, from the theft of Indigenous land to the assassination of land defenders.
On March 2, the people responsible for this violence are descending on Toronto. We're coming together with frontline communities to confront them and #DisruptPDAC.
- When: March 2nd, 1pm
- Where: Starting at the Toronto Stock Exchange (100 Adelaide St West, Toronto ON)
- What: Meet at the Toronto Stock Exchange for a rally and march to PDAC. We’ll stop by mining companies and corporate criminals on our way and hear from those directly impacted by their mining projects (including frontline community members who are traveling thousands of kilometers to Toronto to be there!).
Please save the date and spread the word!
Every year at PDAC, representatives from mining companies, governments, and other key industry players come together to make deals and draft plans on how to keep profiting off of land theft, violence, and poisoning the planet. This year is no exception.
Join us on March 2nd for a kid-friendly march and rally! Bring your family, friends, colleagues, and neighbours. We will gather downtown with representatives from communities directly impacted by Canadian mining to untangle the webs of power and money that connect this city to some of the most harmful and toxic mining projects globally.
Together we will march from the Toronto Stock Exchange to the Metro Convention Centre to #DisruptPDAC 2025. Along the way we’ll hear from frontline communities about the impacts of these mining companies and the military violence they fuel, bring, and profit from. Stand with them!
ASL interpretation has been confirmed for this rally and march. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us with questions or feedback on how we can make this protest accessible to you.
In solidarity,
the Mining Injustice Solidarity Network
