"That’s Vladimir Putin’s fault, don't you agree?" Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade repeatedly challenges Trump during anti-Ukraine rant
Folks, you know Donald has lost the plot when Fox News’ featherweight teleprompt reader Brian Kilmeade steps up and calls out his favorite president for blatantly lying. Kilmeade repeatedly challenged Trump over his position on the war between Ukraine and Russia during an interview on Friday, interjecting to remind the MAGA cult leader that the death and destruction that has occurred in Ukraine is quite clearly "Vladimir Putin’s fault." Trump has been scathing in his condemnations of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in recent days, falsely asserting that Zelenskyy has a 4% approval rating, "started" the conflict between his nation and Putin’s, and is a "dictator" responsible for the deaths of "MILLIONS." Kilmeade continued pressing Trump, interjecting several times to remind Trump of Putin’s moral responsibility for it — all to no avail, of course — while Donald talked himself in circles like an elementary school kid giving an oral report on a book he clearly never read.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump honeymoon cut short by first round of rough polls
Welp, that didn't take long. The first set of polls regarding the MAGA cult leader's approval in office came out this week and the wannabe dictator is already under very cold water. In literally every single poll released this week, Donald's disapproval numbers are outpacing his approval rating. Ending DEI initiatives, banning trans servicemembers, shutting down USAID, pardoning Jan. 6 rioters, firing hundreds of thousands of federal workers, imposing reductive tariffs, and — above all else — deputizing Elon Musk as some sort of shadow president have all proven to be losing issues for the con man. Not a good sign for Team Trump just one month into his second presidency. Let that lift your spirits ever so slightly this weekend, friends.

Judge rejects DOJ call to immediately dismiss Eric Adams corruption case
A New York judge on Friday said he would not immediately dismiss Eric Adams’s corruption case, but ordered the Democratic New York City mayor’s trial delayed indefinitely after the Justice Department asked for the charges to be dismissed. US District Judge Dale Ho in Manhattan said he would appoint an outside lawyer, Paul Clement of the law firm Clement & Murphy PLLC, to present arguments against the federal prosecutors’ bid to dismiss, in order to help the judge make his decision. Trump's Justice Department laughably argued that dismissal was needed so Adams could focus on helping the MAGA cult leader crack down on illegal immigration. The controversy, especially because New York City has a strong sanctuary law designed to stop local enforcement from assisting federal immigration enforcement, has sparked a political crisis in the deep-blue metropolis.

Trump reassigning acting ICE director over pace of deportations
The Trump administration has removed Caleb Vitello, the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, from his position, according to two former senior officials with the Department of Homeland Security, under which ICE falls, as well as one current senior DHS official. Vitello's removal comes after both border czar Tom Homan and President Trump have expressed anger that the number of people being deported is not higher. Homan has also been upset with media leaks coming out of ICE that he said has led to fewer arrests than ICE has anticipated in certain operations. It seems Vitello simply couldn't hit his cruelty quota — an apparently unforgivable sin in MAGA land.

Trump envoy to Ukraine breaks with boss, praises "courageous" Zelenskyy
Retired Lt. General Keith Kellogg, President Donald Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine and Russia, praised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday amid his boss’s incessant attacks and simultaneous praise for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. On Thursday night, Zelenskyy shared a video of himself talking about his recent meeting with Kellogg, who responded with praise for the Ukrainian leader, tweeting: "Extensive and positive discussions with @ZelenskyyUa, the embattled and courageous leader of a nation at war and his talented national security team." Something tells us Donald is going to be none too pleased with his special envoy this weekend.
