Asia Pacific
Praise God for 260 people from 19 countries released from scamming operations in Myanmar! IJM Thailand, in partnership with local organizations, swiftly mobilized to support victim identification and provide assistance to survivors. Pray for continued protection, healing and justice for those freed, and for the Thai government’s ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and dismantle these exploitative networks in Southeast Asia.
Africa & Europe
Let us pray for the European Anti Trafficking Program team who delivered cross-border training for Trafficking in Human Beings (THB) police and detectives in the Netherlands this week. Pray that their efforts in training officers on victim interviewing, identifying Romanian and Bulgarian victims, and connecting them to essential services and authorities in their home countries will have a lasting impact. Ask for continued favor as criminal cases are initiated in collaboration with Romanian and Bulgarian police. May their work bring protection, justice and hope to those affected by trafficking.
Latin America
Join us in praising God for allowing us to secure 49 sentences in 2024 in Bolivia. The resilience and discipline of a team of lawyers, social workers and psychologists previously trained by IJM helped 49 survivors of violence and their families finish 2024 with a sense of justice and relief after going through traumatic experiences. Pray that God will continue healing these survivors' hearts, bodies and minds, that they will feel loved by God and that they will experience the abundant life that only Jesus can give.
South Asia
Praise God for a group of brand-new NGO partners helping us combat human trafficking. We have spent close to a year scoping out grassroots organizations with the skills and local insights to deeply impact their community. Over the last few months, we’ve brought on a new group of fantastic partners who can help us rescue victims, bring criminals to justice and protect vulnerable families. Pray for great collaboration and mutual learning as we amp up our partnerships.
