Donald Trump just nominated Ed Martin -- a "Stop the Steal" organizer and vocal defender of Jan. 6 rioters – as U.S. Attorney for D.C.

You read that right, the guy who organized this:

…wants to be in charge of prosecuting crimes in the very city where he helped incite an insurrection.

Horrifying.

This is the same Ed Martin who pushed baseless election fraud claims, defended Jan. 6 rioters as “patriots,” and now wants the power to decide who gets prosecuted in the nation’s capital.

If we don’t act now, Senate Republicans will rubber-stamp his nomination – handing him the power to protect Trump’s allies and prosecute his political enemies.
