It’s clear what we’re up against. 

The shameless voter suppression plans being proposed in legislatures across the country will push us in the direction of Jim Crow laws, when the freedom to vote was not a freedom for all Americans. 

The question is: What are we going to do about it? 

Simple: We will fight for our rights.

This is not a nightmare scenario. This is happening:

Here in Georgia, Republican legislators have been doing everything they can to disenfranchise Black and brown voters, seniors, and Georgia’s unhoused population. Now, Georgia Republican Party leadership have expressed their desire to end early voting and the current vote-by-mail system. They want to make it more difficult to register to vote. They are encouraging mass voter purges.

These attacks are spreading quickly across the country. 

We’ve fought against attacks like these before, and we’ve won. But if we don’t respond with the full force of our grassroots power, if we don’t stop them NOW, far too many voices will be silenced.
