Finally, after being narrowly confirmed with just 51 of the 53 Republicans voting for him, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed that Musk told him of a plan to cut at least $1 trillion from our earned benefits. Lutnick told Fox News:²

You know Social Security is wrong, you know Medicaid and Medicare are wrong. So he’s gonna cut a trillion.
