✉️ Congress needs to hear from you
Trump’s attempts to destroy clean energy progress and raise energy prices directly threaten our pocketbooks, our health, and our future. Republicans and Democrats alike must be reminded that they answer to us, not Trump and his Big Polluter cronies.
Tell your representatives in Congress to protect energy affordability.
TAKE ACTION
Hi friend,
President Trump has wasted no time doling out nonsense now that he’s back in the White House. On day one, he declared an “energy emergency” that, 1️⃣: doesn’t exist, and 2️⃣: eliminates wind and solar energy as possible solutions to fix this imaginary problem.
Why the nonsense? Because he and his Big Oil loyalists are hell-bent on dragging us back to an economy dominated by expensive, volatile fossil fuels—ignoring the fact that a majority of voters support clean energy policies, which are already lowering household costs nationwide.
In fact, new polling confirms that a whopping 64 percent of voters prefer expanding solar and wind energy, while only 35 percent prefer more coal, oil, and gas.
But instead of listening to voters, Trump has illegally blocked funding for crucial clean energy programs, and now Republicans and their polluter pals are pushing a plan to fully repeal the clean energy tax credits and community climate programs that are lowering costs, creating jobs, and reducing deadly climate pollution.
We must remind our representatives in Congress that they are accountable to us—their constituents—and as such must do everything they can to protect clean energy and climate programs.
TELL CONGRESS TO STEP UP
Trump and his fellow Republicans promised to lower costs, but we know that repealing clean energy tax credits and climate loan and grant programs would do the opposite. We’d see higher electricity bills at a time when people are already struggling to keep up with everyday costs.
Voters across the country are demanding affordability—not policies that jack up our bills while jeopardizing the health and safety of our communities and our nation’s ability to stave off the worst impacts of climate change.

Evergreen Action
P.S. There is broad, bipartisan support for preserving federal investments in climate and clean energy—in fact, most of the investments have gone to red districts represented by Republicans. This means we have a real shot at convincing some Republicans who have seen the benefits of these clean energy investments firsthand to protect them. But we must contact Congress today to show them just how popular these programs are with real voters.
Evergreen is building the ambitious, actionable policy roadmap for an all-out mobilization to defeat climate change—and to create millions of jobs in a thriving, just, and inclusive clean energy future. None of this would be possible without your support.
