Dear Puget Sound recovery community,

Mark your calendars: the 10th annual *Puget Sound Day on the Hill* will take place in Washington, D.C., the week of *April 28, 2025!*

Puget Sound Day on the Hill is an annual event organized by the Puget Sound Partnership [ [link removed] ] and the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission [ [link removed] ] that supports effective policy and continued federal investment in Puget Sound restoration and salmon recovery efforts. Representatives from tribes, state agencies, local governments, nonprofits, and businesses, along with concerned residents, lend their voices in support of action to restore Puget Sound and uphold tribal treaty rights.

We’re once again gathering a group to make the trip to Washington, D.C. for an in-person Puget Sound Day on the Hill. This year’s event is scheduled for *April 28 – May 2, 2025.* We will meet with key decision-makers in Congress to talk about the benefits a healthy Puget Sound brings to the entire nation. This year, more than ever, will be an opportunity to emphasize that we must hold ground and prevent any whittling away of our hard-won progress.

* *Monday, April 28:* Suggested travel day with evening welcome reception.
* *Tuesday, April 29:* Full group meetings with Members of Congress from Washington state. Evening networking dinner.
* *Wednesday, April 30:* Small group meetings with Congressional offices and committees. Evening reception and Capitol tour.
* *Thursday, May 1:* Additional small group meetings with congressional offices and executive offices and agencies. Possible panel discussion on Geographic Programs.
* *Friday, May 2:* Suggested morning departure.
