Before I ran for Congress, I worked for the IBEW, and as a proud union member, I’ll be damned if I’m gonna let anybody attack hardworking Americans.
President Trump and Elon Musk are breaking the law; they don’t have the right to shut down agencies that were created by Congress or fire civil servants to replace them with loyalists.
Elon Musk and Donald Trump were born with silver spoons in their mouths. That’s why they think they own everything, but that doesn’t make them entitled to destroy our government or our democracy. Or entitled to destroy the lives of everyone who relies on federal workers: travelers who rely on TSA agents to keep our flights safe, veterans who depend on the VA for benefits, parents who want to know their kids' schools are well-funded and their food is safe to eat, and seniors who rely on their Social Security checks to come in on time.
A couple of billionaires don’t get to decide if federal workers have a job tomorrow. The Trump administration has betrayed middle and working-class families, plain and simple.
We’re using every tool at our disposal to fight back, and we won’t stop until Elon Musk and his DOGE cronies are kicked out of every government agency.
I’m calling on the few Republicans left who still care about the rule of law to stand up and show up to defend the millions of hardworking Americans being impacted by this administration.
