Herbert,
You know that open communication with my constituents has always been a top priority for me. Elected officials must be accountable and transparent. We also need to listen.
I heard from more than 8,500 of you during my first virtual town hall earlier this week. The turnout and concerns were overwhelming.
Many of you are federal employees who fear for your jobs – your callings. Others rely on the government services our federal workers provide. What will life look like without civil servants to process Medicare claims and Social Security checks? Without air traffic controllers and food inspectors?

Dozens of participants asked what they can do to fight back. I encouraged them to check out this resource from the Democracy 2025 organization.
Our voices and our votes are powerful, and so are our wallets. As extreme Republicans implement their notorious Project 2025, we must lay the groundwork for Project 2026, when we hold those who remain silent accountable at the ballot box.
I urge you to support like-minded candidates, including me, so we can restore accountability and integrity to our government.
