On Tuesday, Speaker Johnson attended Bossier Mayor Tommy Chandler’s prayer luncheon. He congratulated Mayor Chandler on his re-election, provided an update on Washington, and shared an interesting fact about the 37 seconds that he as Speaker served as acting President of the United States of America.

Speaker Johnson joined the Louisiana Logging Council and legislators from northwest Louisiana this week to talk about issues facing the industry. Speaker Johnson shared legislative updates from Washington and discussed how Congress can best support American loggers and timber producers.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK

On Monday, Speaker Johnson delivered the keynote address at the 2025 Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) global conference in London, England. Appearing remotely to the more than 4,000-person audience, Speaker Johnson emphasized that a strong America is good for everyone, and, in order to maintain our strength, our foreign policy must be centered around our national interest. He urged our allies to do the same: "As we seek to make America safer, stronger, and more prosperous, we will encourage all our friends and allies to do the same in and for their own countries."
