TELL SENATORS TO END TRUMP’S PHONY “EMERGENCY”

President Trump recently declared an Energy Emergency via executive order. This
is a thinly-veiled attempt to ban cleaner and cheaper forms of energy and gut environmental protectionsto further enrich oil and gas executives who supported Trump’s campaign — all at
the expense of our health and our right to clean air and water.

The U.S. is notin an energy emergency — Trump inherited a thriving clean energy economy with
more than 400,000 new jobs and more cheaper and cleaner energy than ever before.
His attempts to ban clean energy and decimate the civil service will result in
fewer jobs and higher energy costs for Americans.

The Senate has the power to stop this effort to enrich Trump’s fossil fuel
cronies, and Sens. Kaine and Heinrich have introduced legislation to do just
that. They need to hear our voices: Tell your Senators to vote YES on S.J.Res. 10 and oppose the administration’s harmful energy policies >> [link removed] TAKE ACTION NOW >> [link removed] ICYMI, Friend — Among the hundreds of actions President Trump has taken
to harm our communities and our environment since his inauguration, he has
signed an executive order to declare an “Energy Emergency.” This “Emergency” is a thinly-veiled attempt to ban cleaner and cheaper forms of energy, open public lands and waters to drilling, and gut environmental protections in
order to further enrich oil and gas executives who supported his campaign at the
expense of our health and our right to clean air and water. The Senate has the power to stop this unlawful attack on American families and
jobs. Senators Kaine and Heinrich have introduced a resolution, S.J.Res. 10,to protect us from Trump’s attempt to undermine our bedrock environmental laws,
cut jobs, and raise costs. This resolution could see a vote in the Senate early
next week, so we only have a few days to make our voices heard: Tell your senators to vote YES on S.J.Res. 10 to end Trump’s attack on clean energy. Help us reach our goal of 5,000 signatures — sign TODAY before this legislation comes up for a vote next week >> [link removed] TAKE ACTION >> [link removed] To be clear, Friend, the U.S. is notin an energy emergency. Thanks to legislation like the Bipartisan Infrastructure
Law and the Inflation Reduction Act, hundreds of thousands of good clean energy
jobs have been created, and we are on a strong path to improve our energy
economy while protecting our climate and communities. Trump’s sham “emergency” threatens all of that by seeking to ban clean energy
projects and force expensive, dirty fossil fuel production. This is only the start of the Trump administration’s unlawful attacks on our
communities and environment. Here’s just some of what they’ve been doing: Unconstitutionally stealing taxpayer money Congress approved for the clean energy policies and projects that lower energy bills for households, farmers, schools, and small businesses.Firing government workers who are helping to ensure a safe and secure energy grid with abundant electricity.Working to repeal important clean energy investments, all to hand more tax cuts to billionaires and corporations, including the fossil fuel industry. We can stop Trump’s efforts to threaten the economy, raise costs, and attack our
clean air and water — but we need your help. The Senate could vote on legislation to overturn this phony “emergency” as soon
as Tuesday — send a message to your senators TODAY urging them to vote yes on this crucial resolution and stand up against Trump’s harmful policies >> [link removed] The Trump administration is counting on us to be too overwhelmed to act against
their power grabs. But we have the power to fight back, and we can make a real
difference if we speak out together. Thanks for taking action, Friend. Onward,  Leah Donahey
