This week, Oregon Democrats introduced a bill called SB 1003 that would make it easier for medical providers to prescribe lethal drugs and end the lives of our neighbors through assisted suicide. 

I’ll put it bluntly: This bill is insane. 

SB 1003 would expand assisted suicide in Oregon by ...

• reducing the 15-day waiting period to a mere 48 hours;
• allowing non-physicians to prescribe lethal pills;
• forcing health care facilities to publicly disclose their participation in assisted suicide, making it easier to funnel patients toward pro-assisted suicide facilities.

I need your help to urge our legislators to reject this dangerous expansion of assisted suicide. 

Here's how you can take action:

This radical bill would lead to stark increases in the rates of assisted suicide deaths, producing a callous system of death on demand. 

And since Governor Tina Kotek eliminated the residency requirement for assisted suicide in 2023, it’s not just Oregonians who are at risk, but medically vulnerable people across the country.

Because of overwhelming advocacy and pro-life opposition, we have blocked assisted suicide bills before.

Together, we can stop this insane, dangerous bill.
