REMEMBERING FALLEN HEROES:

This past Monday was Memorial Day. We want to take a moment to honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives to defend our freedom. Thank you to everyone who has served this great nation. On Monday, President Trump visited the Arlington National Cemetery and Baltimore’s Fort McHenry in honor of our fallen troops. “No obstacle, no challenge, and no threat is a match for the sheer determination of the American people," President Trump stated while speaking in Baltimore. Today, barring any inclement weather, President Trump plans to visit Florida to watch SpaceX launch NASA astronauts into space.

BOTTOM LINE:

We wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for all the brave troops who were willing to fight and make the ultimate sacrifice for us. We appreciate their heart, their valor, and their willingness to give everything to ensure that future generations can live in peace and prosperity. President Trump has been a big supporter of our military since day one of his campaign and has passed several reforms to ensure that our soldiers, veterans, and military families are given the resources, respect, and appreciation they deserve. As long as President Trump is in office, our brave troops and veterans will never be forgotten.

WHAT ELSE TO WATCH:

“You Ain’t Black”: In possibly the biggest gaffe of his presidential campaign so far, former Vice President Joe Biden said that African Americans are not black if they have to think about choosing between him and President Trump. “Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black,” Biden said to host Charlamagne tha God on The Breakfast Club radio show last Friday. Biden’s racist statement was widely criticized by both Democrats and Republicans, with Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-South Carolina) stating that he “cringed” when he heard the comment. While Biden later apologized for the statement, he put part of the blame on the host for being a “wise guy” in an interview yesterday. Soon after the original comment aired, President Trump’s campaign created a new website called “You Ain’t Black” in response to Biden. The website currently features a video focusing on the racist nature of the statement.

BOTTOM LINE:

Vice President Biden’s racist comment was not in response to any question asked during the show and he was visibly agitated when he said it. Biden willingly made that terrible assertion for the world to see, with the show’s host Charlamagne tha God immediately pushing back against Biden as soon as he said it. Democrats have taken the black community’s vote for granted for decades, and all Biden did was voice what the left has been thinking this entire time. President Trump’s campaign is rightfully calling out Joe Biden for his inappropriate rhetoric. The former vice president is nothing more than a relic of a bygone era, and it’s unfortunate for the left that this is the man the Democratic Party chose to represent them in the upcoming presidential election. That is good for the country, however, since President Trump will trounce Biden in November.

Houses of Worship are Essential: On Friday, President Trump announced new CDC guidelines which state that houses of worship are now essential. “Some governors have deemed liquor stores and abortion clinics as essential but have left out churches and other houses of worship. It's not right. So I'm correcting this injustice and calling houses of worship essential,” President Trump said. Many Democratic state and local leaders have shown terrible judgement throughout the COVID-19 crisis. New York Attorney General Letitia James called for nationwide abortion access during the pandemic, while NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio specifically singled out and discriminated against the Jewish community. “My message to the Jewish community, and all communities, is this simple: the time for warnings has passed. I have instructed the NYPD to proceed immediately to summons or even arrest those who gather in large groups,” De Blasio tweeted out several weeks ago. The governor of Maine, along with others, has been called out for restricting church gatherings while allowing abortion clinics to remain open.

BOTTOM LINE:

Unfortunately, too many elected officials throughout the country have chosen to use the COVID-19 pandemic to restrict religious liberty, while allowing non-essential businesses like liquor stores and abortion clinics to remain in place. We have seen Democrats use this crisis time and time again to push their radical far-left agenda. De Blasio’s anti-Semitism has been despicable and deserves to be called out again and again. Thankfully, President Trump has stepped in to defend our freedoms in the face of the increasingly despotic Democratic Party. It’s a shame that it had to come to this, and it’s amazing what the Democrats were able to get away with. If a Republican politician had said anything near what Mayor Bill de Blasio did, their career would be over. If you need another reason to re-elect President Trump this November, here it is. We can’t give Democrats the opportunity to strip away our First Amendment rights.

POTUS Donates Salary to Combat COVID-19: On Friday, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany announced that President Trump will be donating his quarterly salary of $100,000 to the Department of Health and Human Services to help combat COVID-19. Since he was elected to office, President Trump has donated his salary to different sections of the federal government in order to help the American people. He also donated his last quarterly salary to the fight against the coronavirus. President Trump has previously donated his salary to the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of the Surgeon General.

BOTTOM LINE:

President Trump promised in the 2016 election that he would not accept any pay for the job, and he is a man of his word. The president has donated every paycheck back to the federal government to benefit the taxpayers who would otherwise be paying the president’s salary. Unlike the previous administration, President Trump has put the American people first and foremost and didn’t get involved in politics to make money. Instead, he chose to sacrifice his lifestyle to help guide America into the future. The same can’t be said for Joe Biden whose tenure as Vice President was marred by scandal and who made millions after leaving office.

New Director of National Intelligence: Yesterday, former Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas) was sworn in as the new Director of National Intelligence. The Senate confirmed Ratcliffe last week in a 49-44 vote. Ratcliffe has been a great ally to President Trump in Congress, and is taking the reins from Acting Director Richard Grenell, who has done a truly great job as acting DNI. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) has been quick to confirm President Trump’s nominations in the Senate, and Ratcliffe was no different. As director, John Ratcliffe will oversee the intelligence – related investigations into Michael Flynn’s case and will hopefully uncover the truth behind the Russia hoax that was started by the senior leadership of the Obama-Biden administration.

BOTTOM LINE:

Director Ratcliffe will undoubtedly do a strong job as the Director of National Intelligence for President Trump and the American people, just as Richard Grenell did. We need someone who can uncover how ObamaGate started and what President Obama and Vice President Biden knew about the investigation. Joe Biden has already been caught in one lie by stating he knew nothing about the Flynn investigation and then being revealed right after as someone who attempted to unmask General Flynn while still in office. Former Acting Director Grenell made a ton of progress on uncovering the origins of the Russia hoax and hopefully Director Ratcliffe will be able to finish the job.
