Dear Friend,
We've released our
2024 Gratitude Report
—a summary of the victories you made happen in 2024!
We call this publication our "Gratitude Report" because we're so extremely grateful to YOU for making such incredible progress possible. To everyone who has signed advocacy actions, donated, helped spread the word on social media, or otherwise joined us in this mission—
these are your victories!
Below are just a few examples:
👉
Instagram has made teen accounts private by default
and added crucial safety features to protect young users. Teens can only be messaged or tagged by people they follow, and accounts are set to the highest content restrictions. The impact of these safety updates can’t be overstated. Instagram is the
#1 platform where sextortion happens
—a risk that will be significantly mitigated by these safety changes.
👉Major platforms like
Apple, LinkedIn, Google Ads, and YouTube
removed harmful
"nudifying apps"
or related promotions. These exploitative apps allowed anyone to take an image of a woman and “strip” her of her clothing.
👉North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Delaware
passed new laws that significantly
increase penalties for sex buyers
, including making it a felony in some cases. These legislative wins will help reduce demand for exploitation and protect vulnerable individuals.
As we reflect on this year's achievements, we are deeply grateful for your unwavering support in driving these critical victories for safety and justice. Your advocacy, partnership, and dedication have made a real difference, and together, we are creating a safer world for everyone. We look forward to continuing this journey with you and achieving even more in the year ahead.
THANK YOU for your powerful partnership!
Be sure to check out the
2024 Gratitude Report
and receive encouragement and joy from seeing all the good things you've made happen!Â
Sincerely,Â
