In Case You Missed It The February issue of The Atlantic magazine features a major article by Stephanie McCrummen titled, The Army of God Comes Out of the Shadows: Tens of millions of American Christians are embracing a charismatic movement known as the New Apostolic Reformation, which seeks to destroy the secular state. It’s a hair-raising read for those who value secular government, religious pluralism and separation of church and state—not to mention LGBTQ civil rights, reproductive justice, and public education. The NAR seeks to dominate all areas of life and some think it may take a religious war to get there. In response, PRA hosted a webinar on February 13th, 2025, where panelists discussed the article from The Atlantic, and broke down the impact of the NAR on democracy.
