Trump and Musk’s shock and awe attacks on our Constitution just won’t stop. They’re operating as if the laws simply don’t apply to them – illegally dismantling government agencies, freezing federal spending, firing thousands of protected workers, and seizing our sensitive data.
Bernie has put it simply: we’re in a constitutional crisis. And it’s going to take all of us to get out of it.
Sitting back and letting Trump anoint himself King is NOT an option. But the only way we’re going to stop Trump’s authoritarian takeover is to launch a massive, UNITED resistance.
Protests are heating up around the country — from outside the Capitol in DC to Austin and Salt Lake City. But now we need ALL Democrats in Congress to bring this same energy and fight back with everything they have.
Public outcry has already put collaborators in Congress on notice. But as Trump doubles down we URGENTLY need to raise the pressure even more – will you add your name to overwhelm the Capitol with calls to stand united against Trump’s lawlessness?
A legal battle is underway, with one lawsuit after the next being filed to try to FORCE Trump to comply with our laws, but Trump is clearly counting on his buddies at the Supreme Court to allow him to do what he pleases. And even if SCOTUS refuses and stands up for the rule of law, the next big question is whether Trump will simply ignore the courts and carry on with his takedown of our government.
Terrifyingly, it’s already happening: this week a federal judge said that Trump DEFIED an order to release billions of dollars in federal grants. And now JD Vance is laying the groundwork for Trump to ignore the courts and operate with ZERO guardrails:
It’s a chilling threat daring judges to counter Trump. And that’s why it’s more important than ever for We the People to mount a massive opposition on the ground, in the streets, and outside political offices — showing Congress and Trump that we will not accept the destruction of our democracy.
This means targeting Republicans in purple districts — we only need a few to defect under pressure from their own constituents to get in the way of Trump’s lawlessness. It also means no more collaboration from any Democrats. House and Senate Dems ALL need to hold the line, REFUSE to cooperate with the Trump regime, and GRIND Congress to a halt. This is no time for business as usual, we are in a constitutional crisis, a time for courage and conviction.
Massive pressure from all of us is what will make the difference in this moment. The people are speaking out, protesting, and rising to the moment — it’s time our elected leaders follow our lead.
