STOP WORK ORDER: With a few exemptions, U.S. government funding for UNFPA’s lifesaving care is currently *suspended*.

This is the wrong time to be scaling back our lifesaving work in Ukraine. Will you rush a donation right now to sustain programs for women, girls, pregnant mothers, and infants?

DONATE NOW

Tomorrow is the third anniversary of the war in Ukraine, and women and girls are still giving birth, seeking reproductive health care, and hoping to provide better opportunities for their families.

Over 16 million people need support in the region, including 4 million women of reproductive age and 2.6 million young people. These people have seen death and destruction and experienced unspeakable tragedies, and they need our support.

The winter months in particular have been brutal. Because of power outages, the most vulnerable populations — newborns, pregnant women, the elderly, and young children — often go almost all day without heat in freezing temperatures and face extreme health risks as a result.

Kateryna in Odesa, Ukraine

In Odesa, Kateryna told us, “I have friends who tried to convince me not to have children. Because there’s a war, because it’s frightening, but children are happiness. How could it be otherwise?”

Because UNFPA has been there for women and girls, even during times of uncertainty and constant threat, women like Kateryna can confidently become mothers.

We’ve provided Dignity Kits to mothers so they can support their newborns. UNFPA-supported health facilities have reached over 336,000 women and girls with sexual and reproductive health services.

As the conflict continues to escalate, this work is not over. More women will give birth in a warzone. More women will be at heightened risk of violence. More women and girls will lack access to essential health care and basic services.

To expand our presence assisting survivors and reach more women and girls displaced by warfare in Ukraine, we’re counting on more gifts from supporters like you while our U.S. governmental funding remains largely frozen.

Make a gift today to help women and girls impacted by warfare in Ukraine and around the world rebuild their lives, regain some stability, and live with dignity even in the darkest of times.

MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT

Thank you for being there for women and girls.
