Hi Everyone!

Thank you all for your resistance efforts this past week! Whether you attended a protest/rally, visited or called your members of Congress, or called the Kentucky legislative hotline about bills, you showed that we, the people, are speaking out against violations of the law, executive overreach, and regressive bills that harm Kentuckians.

Actions you can take this week:
* STATE: CALL THE LRC HOTLINE!
On the state level, over 1,000 bills have been filed in this short legislative session! Republicans have filed numerous egregious bills. Please call 1-800-372-7181 to voice your opinion. These links provide guidance on timelines and bills in progress:

* NATIONAL: ORGANIZED OFFICE VISITS - SIGN UP NOW!
We have a member who will be organizing visits at the offices of our members of Congress starting in March. These small group visits will be by appointment and will include well-researched talking points. If you are interested, please send us an email at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) .

* NATIONAL: CALL YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS
Call your members of Congress and let them know how you feel about topics that most concern you. The Indivisible website's section Take Action Now ([link removed]) and the 5 Calls website ([link removed]) provide talking points and information.

* FEBRUARY 28TH: ECONOMIC BLACKOUT
The People's Union USA is organizing an economic blackout on Friday, February 28th. Everyone is encouraged to avoid spending money all day, especially at Wal-Mart, Amazon, and Target, and including chain restaurants, gas stations, and all other large corporate entities.
