Republicans are trying to steal an election for North Carolina’s Supreme Court
The court’s GOP supermajority is blocking certification of the election where Democratic incumbent Allison Riggs defeated Republican Jefferson Griffin.
Why is this important? Because state supreme courts play a key role in reviewing electoral maps for gerrymandering.
It’s not an isolated incident: we’re seeing a broader strategy by right-wing extremists to silence the will of the people.
From manipulating maps so voters won’t be fairly represented…
To trying to overturn elections.
But we’re fighting back.
Donate $30 to help fight for fair maps and fair representation as we defend democracy and the sanctity of our elections in the months ahead.
