Donald Trump and Elon Musk are taking a chainsaw to the most basic pillars of democracy and governance to enrich themselves and their corporate allies at the expense of the public and the common good.

The courts seem powerless to stop them. Republicans in Congress have willingly surrendered their constitutional role as a check on the executive. Enfeebled Democrats are practically invisible.

The last line of defense — our final hope for the survival of democracy — is you, the people. But the people can only fight back if they have access to the ugly truth about what's really happening.
