Friend — We are over a month into Trump’s second presidency.

In a short amount of time, this administration has threatened our communities with mass deportation, rejected over 10,000 refugees seeking asylum, and deployed ICE agents to our homes, schools, jobs, and places of worship.

But amid all of this, we still haven’t forgotten about DACA.

The Fifth Circuit ruled against DACA again earlier this year. Current DACA holders remain protected and can send renewal applications, but it’s unclear if this decision will be appealed in the courts. We must stay vigilant, organized, and ready to respond as a community.

Our fight did not end with this 5th Circuit decision, friend. As long as DACA remains under attack, the futures of immigrant youth and their families are threatened.

We must take bold, urgent action to protect immigrants now. These attacks continue to be led by anti-immigrant courts and far-right elected officials seeking to destabilize our communities and keep us from thriving.

So we must be ready to take a bold, public stance and unapologetically declare immigrants are Here to Stay.
