John, it’s hard to keep up with the whirlwind of headlines
coming out of the Trump administration.
The constant barrage of news is overwhelming, so we want to make sure you
have a clear picture of the damage Trump is causing to our climate, our
government, and our future.
Before we dive into the details: we need your help to keep up the fight.
350 is on the frontlines, fighting to protect our communities and defend
climate science, especially with the Trump administration in power. Now
more than ever, your support makes all the difference,
John.

In just one month, Trump’s actions have seriously set back climate
progress both at home and abroad.^1 Here’s how:
1. Disrupting climate programs: Trump is aggressively dismantling key
U.S. climate policies, stopping clean energy programs, and freezing
federal funding. This impacts both U.S. federal government and private
sector efforts to combat climate change and build renewable energy
resources.
2. Cutting federal staff: Trump fired thousands of workers from the
Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Energy, and the
Department of the Interior, stripping these agencies of their
expertise.
3. Halting global climate initiatives: Trump has cut U.S. funding for
critical international climate programs — isolating the U.S. from
global partners and undermining global efforts to tackle climate
change.
4. Freezing clean energy funding: Trump has suspended clean energy
programs, including renewable energy projects, threatening the green
energy sector and stalling our transition to a fossil-fuel-free
future.
5. Censoring research and science: The Trump administration is pressuring
climate researchers to censor their work to avoid retaliation. They
have also paused grant evaluations for projects related to diversity,
equity, and environmental justice.
John, 350 is standing up to
Trump through grassroots activism, collective education, and strategic
campaigns — [ [link removed] ]but we need your help to ensure our movement can keep pace
with the Trump administration's destructive policies.
Here’s what we are doing to oppose and counter Trump:
* Shifting the focus to state and local power: Even as the federal
government moves backward, we can apply pressure to governors, mayors,
and local legislators to move us forward.
* Fueling the fight across the globe: 350 is one of just a handful of
organizations with global reach and organizing, so we’re able to keep
pushing in and outside the United States.
* Pulling levers outside of government: We’re pushing corporations and
financial institutions to move money away from fossil fuels.
* Education and awareness: We’re educating the public about how Trump’s
actions on climate will harm them. That helps us ensure Trump and his
allies pay a price in public opinion.
[ [link removed] ]Can we count on your support today? Your contribution will help us
continue challenging the administration’s attacks on climate science and
ensure a livable planet for future generations.
In solidarity,
Team 350
