How has Israel managed to fight on seven fronts, and maintain a thriving economy? Has the displacement of so many Israelis from their homes in the north and the south had an impact on Israel’s economy? How have the demands of so many people being called into the reserves affected Israel’s commerce? How long can Israel sustain itself, economically, with so many demands on its budget?
Here to answer these questions is Minister Noach Hacker. Minister Hacker leads the Economic Mission for the Ministry of Finance at the Israeli Embassy in the United States. The Economic Mission in Washington DC represents Israel’s Ministry of Finance in the US. It supports Israel’s economic relationship with the US government, DC-based international institutions, and strengthens Israel’s ties with US business and the American Jewish community. The Economics Mission informs policymaking in Israel by keeping abreast of relevant economic and financial developments in the US.
Minister Hacker’s perspective and comments are informed by his experience as Vice-President of a major Israeli telecommunications firm, former Deputy Director of the Budget Department for the Israeli Ministry of Finance, and experience in overseeing bilateral economic relations for the Israeli Ministry of Finance.
