Friend,
In 2016, while living in Nigeria, I witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of malnutrition. I saw how it affects people of all ages—newborns, children, mothers, and entire communities—compromising cognitive development and leaving lasting harm to physical health, mental well-being, and livelihoods. As global funding cuts have drastically reduced other organizations’ ability to respond and treat children with malnutrition, the crisis has dramatically worsened.
Even in the face of these challenges, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) remains committed to confronting this crisis. Today, MSF operates four treatment centers in Katsina state, Nigeria, and in 2024 alone, our teams treated more than 100,000 malnourished children in the country.
This work is why I’m proud to be a part of MSF. Our teams fill critical gaps in health care—like our work treating the growing malnutrition crisis in Nigeria—often providing care to those who would otherwise not receive it.
Independent support from our donors makes that possible. MSF is committed to staying on the ground and treating malnutrition for as long as we’re needed, but we need your help. Will you make your very first gift today to ensure MSF can continue providing care, even when others cannot? |
