Our partners, friends, and community are taking the City of Portland to court ([link removed]) over the recent approval of Zenith Energy’s Land Use Compatibility Statement or LUCS.

Today, 350PDX, the Northwest Environmental Defense Center (NEDC), Willamette Riverkeeper, and 18 Portland residents submitted a Notice of Intent to Appeal ([link removed]) the City’s February 3 approval of Zenith’s LUCS, which gave the Texas-based fossil fuel company a green light to expand its operations in Portland. The parties seek a ruling from the Land Use Board of Appeals that the LUCS process was flawed because it failed to provide for any public involvement, and an order to remand the decision back to the City for a lawful public process. The plaintiffs are represented by Jesse Buss of Willamette Law Group, P.C. ([link removed])

Unfortunately, lawsuits are not free.

We are asking you to support these heroes ([link removed]) by financially contributing to their lawsuit to hold Mayor Wilson and his City Administrators accountable for shutting the public out of this important decision!
