 First Residential Property Complete as Wildfire Debris Removal Effort Gains Momentum
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed debris removal on the first residential property to undergo Phase 2 cleanup operations. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the recovery process, as crews work tirelessly to clear fire-related debris, safeguard the environment, and help communities begin rebuilding. For those opting into the government-sponsored debris removal program, the online Right of Entry form is available here. The form also is available in Spanish, Russian, Armenian, Korean, and Simplified Chinese.

For those who opt-out: Property owners who choose to hire private contractors for fire debris removal can now receive a permit that allows home and business owners and their authorized private contractors to manage their own debris removal efforts while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental standards.

New Hours for Disaster Recovery Centers
Starting this week, Disaster Recovery Centers in Altadena and at UCLA Research Park West will be closed on Sundays. The new operating hours will be Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM.
